How much does it cost?

We now do a $10 pre-authorization for each ride.

At the start of your ride you may see a $10 transaction on your card. This amount will be temporarily held (pending) until your ride is completed and the final charges are applied. The held amount will then be released.

14% HST is charged on your total trip cost.

Per minute

For each minute you rent an e-scooter you will be charged $0.36.

Example: a one hour and twenty-five minute rental would cost:

1 hour ($21.60) + 25 minutes ($0.36x25= $9.00)
Total rental cost = $30.60 plus tax

Contact us or navigate to ‘Long Rental’ in the app for daily/weekly rental rates and availability.

Payment details

  1. All payments including prepayments are made through the HFX e-Scooters app.

  2. Most major credit cards are accepted for payment, Visa®, MasterCard®, AMEX®.

  3. Payment can be accepted from bank accounts that are setup for online payments (debit/credit cards).

  4. Payment for your ride is completed when you ‘end trip’ in the app and when a summary/receipt is provided.
